How to Install a Language Pack

Sana Commerce supports the following webshop languages:
  • English
  • Dutch
  • German*
  • Portuguese*
  • French*
  • Italian*
  • Spanish*
  • Swedish*
  • Danish*
  • Finnish*

    * Available as language pack (on demand).

To install a language pack into a Sana Commerce project follow these steps:

Step 1: Copy the files from the folders '[Language pack]\content\files\images\languages' and '[Language pack]\App_GlobalResources' to the same folders in the Sana Commerce frontend directory.

Step 2: Execute the SQL script 'Add language script.sql' from the root of the language package on your target database.

Step 3: In the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager restart the application pool of the Sana Commerce backoffice.

The language pack is installed and now you should create a language-specific content and webshop navigation.

Content pages

No pages are created by the language pack. Go to the Sana Commerce backoffice to create pages for the newly added language.

For detailed information about the content pages see the 'Content' section of the Sana Online Help.

Navigation

The installed language pack will automatically create three navigation menus for the 'Main' (top), 'Sitemap' and 'Footer' navigations. By default they will not contain any navigation items.

Note that no navigation menu is created for the 'Left' navigation. For the 'Left' navigation you will need to create a new navigation menu manually.

For information about how to create the webshop navigation see 'Navigation'.

For information about navigation settings and its configuration see 'Navigation'.

When content and navigation are created you can enable the language in the Sana Commerce backoffice -> Settings -> General -> Languages.
