Known Limitations

Sana Commerce supports several browsers. There are some known browser limitations that are not supported by few browsers.

For a list of the supported browsers and versions, see 'Tested Browser Versions'.

The table below describes limitations and known issues with the supported browsers. Notice, that for those browsers which are supported by Sana Commerce and are not listed in this table, there are no known issues.

Browser Limitation
Internet Explorer 11
  • There is a bug in the browser definition files that shipped with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and 4.0. Internet Explorer 11 is not detected correctly which causes problems with ASP.NET controls. Thus, make sure that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is installed on your Web server.
    If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 installed on the Web server and for some reasons you cannot install 4.5, there is a hotfix that can be installed.
Internet Explorer 10
  • There is a bug in the browser definition files that shipped with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and 4.0. Internet Explorer 10 is not detected correctly which causes problems with ASP.NET controls. If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 installed on the Web server, to be able to use Internet Explorer 10 the hotfix must be installed. The hotfix for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 can be downloaded from Microsoft support: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600088
    If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 installed on the Web server no extra actions are needed to be able to use Internet Explorer 10.
Internet Explorer 9
  • Frontend editor does not work if the <iframe> element is present on the page.
  • When you insert a big image into the HTML editor and select it, the size controls are visible outside the HTML editor area. This leads to overlaying of the HTML editor toolbar and buttons are not active. A button can be activated by double-click. This is a known browser behavior. More information can be found here.
  • When the image file name is too long the 'Insert' and 'Cancel' buttons in the Image Manager are hidden in the 'Preview' mode.
  • When you edit Sana text from the pop-up window in the Frontend Editor (e.g. when you are not logged in and try to open a wish list the pop-up window is shown), blank space appears at the bottom of the webshop.
  • The scroll bar is not available in the Server Explorer 'Upload' window.
Internet Explorer 8
  • CSS3 is not supported in Internet Explorer 8.

  • When you copy the content from the HTML editor and past it again in it, the content is inserted incorrectly with additional HTML formatting. More information can be found here.
