Scheduled Tasks

The scheduled tasks are used for running the Sana Commerce specific tasks in the background. They support multiple tasks that can be performed simultaneously.

To open scheduled tasks click: Tools -> Scheduled tasks:

Scheduled Tasks Overview

The 'log' file can be viewed by clicking on the 'View last log' link. The last log file of the related task will be shown. For example, when the task is failed the related log file can be used to see the reason of failure.

The history of the scheduled tasks can be also seen. By default the task history holds 25 last log files per each task. The default number of log files which are stored in the history can be changed. You can do this in the 'web.config' file of the Sana Commerce backoffice by changing the value of the 'maxArchivedFiles' attribute of the TaskFileTraceListener.

If there are problems with reading the log files make sure that the user who runs the application pool for the backoffice has the 'read' permissions on the folder which is specified for the scheduled tasks in the 'web.config' file.

The 'Scheduled tasks' page is refreshed every minute automatically. You can also click the 'Refresh' button to refresh it manually.

For more information about how to configure the scheduled tasks please read this chapter.
