Install Sana Add-on in NAV Environment

The initial settings should be configured, when the Sana Commerce add-on is installed on top of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Sana Commerce provides a wizard in Microsoft Dynamics NAV that guides you through the main settings that are necessary for the correct functioning of the Sana Commerce webshop.

All settings that are presented in the Sana Commerce startup wizard are also available on different Microsoft Dynamics NAV forms and can be configured individually.

To open the Sana Commerce startup wizard click: Departments > Webshop > Administration > Startup Wizard.

This wizard guides through the following steps:

No. Name Description
1 General Create and configure a webshop. Webshop ID should be exactly the same as the one used during installation of Sana Commerce on Web and database server. Default: SanaStore. Template Customer No. is used for online customer registration, to show prices in the webshop for the not signed in visitors, suggest items from the particular inventory location and items indexing.

2 Online payment Specify the default Payment Method Code (optional). It is used for sales orders during online payments. When the online payment has been placed, this payment method code will be recorded into the sales order. The payment cost coming from the webshop is booked on the ledger account specified in the Payment Cost No. field and is stored as a sales line.

3 Online shipment Specify the ledger account for the shipping costs. The shipping cost coming from the webshop is booked on the ledger account specified in the Shipping Cost No. field and is stored as a sales line.

4 Numbering Sana Commerce uses the default Microsoft Dynamics NAV functionality (No. Series) to generate the unique identifiers for sales orders and sales quotes. Using Numbering you can redefine the default number series to generate unique identifiers for sales orders/ quotes coming from the Sana Commerce webshop.

5 Warehouse Select which location code, either from the Customer Card or from the Webshop Card, should be used to suggest items from a particular inventory location. Select inventory calculation method that should be used to show number of products in a stock to a customer.

6 Catalog filter On this step you can configure the catalog filter that is used to present only a subset of the products catalog in the webshop. The catalog filter set at a webshop level is applied everywhere the products are shown in the webshop.

7 Countries Set visibility of countries that should be available in the webshop for online customer registration, shipping address and prospect orders. For all countries that should be available in the webshop select the Visible in Webshop check box. For the correct functioning of the online customer registration and prospect functionality specify Customer Template Code.

8 Data validation rules For the correct functioning of the Sana Commerce solution generate the default data validation rules. These rules affect data retrieving; only data which satisfies the selected criteria can be processed.

9 Update items visibility On this step you can automatically update visibility of all items in the webshop. All items are validated by the default rules of orderability. Those items that satisfy the orderability criteria are automatically made visible in the webshop.

10 Roles and permissions Enhance Microsoft Dynamics NAV security by importing additional roles, including one for each profile in the RoleTailored client. Assign RoleTailored client users to one RoleTailored role.

If all the necessary configurations are done, then your webshop is ready for trading. You can change any settings individually on the related forms in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

If the products catalog is ready and items are set to Visible in Webshop, then update the webshop index by running the Product import task in Sana Admin. For more information, see 'Product import'.
