Bluetooth Wireless Barcode Scanner

Sana Mobile supports 'classic' catalog browsing, quick ordering through the shopping basket as well as ordering using a Bluetooth wireless barcode scanner.


Scan Mode

In the 'Browse catalog' mode a sales agent can use the search field to search for a product by item number, title or barcode and add a product to the basket. In the 'Scan mode' a sales agent can use the barcode scanner to add a product to the basket. By scanning a barcode a product is automatically added to the basket.

The Sana Mobile app was tested using the following barcode scanner:

Opticon OPN 2002 Opticon OPN 2002 enables real-time barcode scanning with any Bluetooth ready device including Android and iOS.

Requirements:

  • Data transferring via Bluetooth.
  • Your mobile device (smartphone/tablet) should support Bluetooth.
  • The Bluetooth wireless barcode scanner should be compatible with iOS and Android devices.
  • The barcode scanner should support iOS/Android versions that are required for Sana Mobile.
  • Read the manual of your barcode scanner to learn how to pair it with your mobile device. 
How do we deal with the new OS releases?

To keep up with the new OS releases we track the information about it and once a new version of iOS/Android is released our highly qualified specialists immediately start testing the Sana Mobile app on it. The normal procedure is to optimize and add support for a new version of the mobile operating system within 2 months.
