How to Install a Language Pack

Language pack allows to display the webstore interface in the language of your choice and flexibility to translate your web store content into any installed language.

The language pack contains additional language which can be installed into a Sana Commerce project.

For more information, see 'Supported Languages'.

Language packs can be downloaded from the Sana Community web site. Only the registered Sana partners can access Sana Community. If you are a customer and you want to install the language pack, please contact your Sana partner or Sana project manager.

To install a language pack for the Sana Commerce web store:

Step 1: Copy the SanaTexts resource file from the language package to the following folder in the Sana Commerce frontend directory: Frontend\App_Data\SanaTexts.

Step 2: Copy the MailTemplates resource file from the language package to the following folder in the Sana Commerce frontend directory: Frontend\App_Data\MailTemplates.

Step 3: Copy the language icon from the language package to the following folder in the Sana Commerce frontend directory: Frontend\content\files\images\languages.

Step 4: Execute the Add language script.sql script on the Sana Commerce database.

Web pages
In Sana Admin add the content of the web pages in the language installed with this language pack.
For detailed information about web pages and how to translate the content of the pages, see 'Web pages' on the Sana  help web site.

Navigation
Translate webstore navigation into the language installed with this language pack.
For information about web store menus, see 'Navigation' on the Sana help web site.

In Sana Admin you can also translate the names of the shipping methods, payment methods and discount codes.

Enable language
When all the necessary web store content is translated, enable the language. In Sana Admin click: Setup > Basics > Languages and select the Enabled check box.

When language pack is installed and the language is enabled, in Sana Admin click: Tools > Refresh site cache

   If your web store is hosted on a single domain, check that no language is assigned to the web store domain in Sana Admin: Tools > Webstore domains. If your web store is multi-lingual and it is hosted on a single domain do not assign any language to the web store domain. Otherwise, web store users will not be able to change web store language.
