Inventory Calculation



There are two methods that are used to calculate inventory and show number of products in a stock to a customer.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX click: Webshop > Common > Webshops > General.

In the Inventory calculation method field you can select which quantity of items should be shown to a customer.

The product inventory is retrieved from the On-hand form of the related product.

Choose one of the inventory calculation methods:

Inventory calculation method Description
Financial Total available quantity of an item. If this method is selected, the item quantity will be retrieved from the Total available field of the On-hand form.
Physical Physical quantity of an item in the inventory. If this method is selected, the item quantity will be retrieved from the Available physical field of the On-hand form.
