Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Item Prices

Sana being the ERP integrated e-commerce solution uses pricing logic of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This means that all prices are managed and calculated in Dynamics 365 Business Central and are used by Sana.

In Dynamics 365 Business Central the product price is set on the item card.

Set up item unit price

Step 1: Open the necessary item card.

Step 2: On the Costs & Posting FastTab, in the Unit Cost field, enter the item unit price. This is the item price for which you actually sell the product to customers, if there is no sales price.

Set up item sales price

Step 1: On the Actions tab of the item card click Set Special Prices.

Step 2: In the Sales Type field you can define for whom the item sales price should be set, for an individual customer, for a customer price group or for all customers.

For instance, if you want the sales price of a specific item to be shown only for an individual customer, then in the Sales Type field select Customer and in the Sales Code dropdown list select the customer account for whom the sales price should be set.

Step 3: Use the Unit Price field to specify the sales price of an item.

Now, both prices, unit price and sales price, are set. If the sales prices for the items are set, and both prices, unit price and sales price, should be shown in the webshop, then sales prices should be activated in Sana Admin.

To do this open Sana Admin and click: Setup > Products > Price and enable Action prices. If the Action prices option is not activated in Sana Admin, then only the sales prices (action prices) will be shown in the webshop. This is because when both prices are set in Dynamics 365 Business Central, sales prices become actual prices.

When the sales prices are set and activated, both unit prices and sales prices, which are used for presentation of action prices, are shown together. The unit prices are of a grey color and marked strikethrough, while the sales prices are of a red color.

For more information about the usage of sales prices in Sana Commerce, see "Volume Prices".
