Modes of Delivery



A shop administrator can map the shipping methods configured in Sana Admin to the modes of delivery in Dynamics 365 for Operations.

If the shipping method in Sana Admin is mapped to the mode of delivery in Dynamics 365 for Operations, then when a customer creates an order in the webshop the selected shipping method will be stored in the sales order in Dynamics 365 for Operations.

 NOTE

In Microsoft Dynamics 365, there is no tracking service URL for modes of delivery. Thus, customers can't track package delivery directly from a Sana webshop.


Set up modes of delivery

In Dynamics 365 for Operations click: Sales and marketing > Setup > Distribution > Modes of delivery. Use the Modes of delivery form to set up the modes of delivery that should be mapped to the shipping methods in Sana Admin.

 NOTE

To make modes of delivery created in Dynamics 365 for Operations available in Sana Admin, you need to run the General information import task. In Sana Admin click: Tools > Scheduled tasks.

The modes of delivery retrieved from Dynamics 365 for Operations for mapping will be available in the shipping method details in Sana Admin, the External shipping method field.
