Product Prices

Sana being the ERP integrated e-commerce solution uses pricing logic of Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition. This means that all prices are managed and calculated in Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition and are used by Sana.

In Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition the product price is set on the Released product details form.

Set up a base sales price

Step 1: In Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition click: Product information managementProducts > Released products.

Step 2: Open the necessary product and click Edit.

Step 3: On the Sell FastTab, in the Base sales price section, the Price field is used to set the price for which you actually sell the product to the customers, if there is no sales price.

Set up a sales price

Step 1: On the Sell tab of the Released product details form click Create trade agreements. At first you should create a record in the journal.

Step 2: When the journal record is created, click Lines on the action pane. In the Journal lines, trade agreement form the sales price can be set.

Step 3: In the Relation field select sales price relation.

Step 4: In the Account code field you can define for whom the sales price should be set, for an individual customer, then select Table, for a customer price group, then select Group, or for all customers.

For instance if you want the sales price of a specific product to be shown only for an individual customer, then in the Account code field select Table and in the Account selection field select the customer account for whom the sales price should be visible.

Step 5: In the Item relation dropdown select the item number of the product for which the sales price should be set.

Step 6: In the Amount in currency field set the sales price of a product.

Step 7: Select the correct currency in the Currency dropdown.

Step 8: When the sales price is set, click Post on the action pane to post the journal. The lines from the posted journal are used as trade agreements.

Now, both prices, base sales price and sales price, are set. If the sales prices for the products are set and both prices, base sales price and sales price, should be shown in the webshop, then sales prices should be activated in Sana Admin.

To do this open Sana Admin and click: Setup > Products > Price, and enable Action prices.

If the Action prices option is not activated in Sana Admin, than only the sales prices (action prices) will be shown in the webshop. This is because when both prices are set in Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition, sales prices become actual prices.

When the sales prices are set and activated, base sales prices and sales prices, which are used for presentation of action prices, are shown together. The base sales prices are of a grey color and marked strikethrough, while the sales prices are of a red color.

If you need to change the sales price:

Step 1: On the Released product details form, on the Sell tab, click Create trade agreements.

Step 2: Create a journal record and click Lines on the action pane.

Step 3: In the Journal linestrade agreement form, on the Overview FastTab, click Select.

Step 4: Use filters to find the product for which the sales price should be changed. When the product is found you can change its sales price. When the sales price is changed, post the journal.

For more information about the usage of sales prices in Sana Commerce, see 'Volume Prices'.
