SAP Business One

Customers IDs

When a new customer registers online in a Sana web store or a guest customer creates an order, a business partner will be created in SAP Business One with the unique identifier.

When the first customer registers online and the first guest customer creates an order, the number series are automatically created in SAP Business One. These number series have unique prefixes and are used for all customers who register online in the web store and for all guest customers.

In SAP Business One click: Administration > System Initialization > Document Numbering. Double-click the row Business Partners - Customers. In the window Series - Business Partners - Customer - Setup you can see the number series which are used to generate unique identifiers for all customers that are created from the Sana web store. The number series which are used by Sana must be unlocked and must not overlap with other series.

When a new customer registers in the Sana web store online, the customer will be created in SAP Business One with the ID prefix "B2B".

When a guest customer creates an order in the web store, the customer will be created in SAP Business One with the ID prefix "B2X".

Business customers already exist in SAP Business One. Thus, the number series which is set up in the system by default for business partners is used.

The prefixes which are used to generate unique identifiers for customers who register online in the Sana web store and for guest customers can be changed in the "Web.config" file of the Sana Web service for SAP Business One.
