To be able to use Microsoft Dynamics AX the administrator must enter the license information. After the license codes have been entered the general functionality covered by the license will be enabled. Then the access to the more specific features can be enabled or disabled by changing configuration keys.

The Sana Commerce solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX uses the following three modules:

• Inventory management;
• Accounts receivable;
• CRM.

These modules must be enabled by the license codes for the correct work of the solution.

The following modules for full purchase and sales functionalities must be also enabled: Accounts payable; General ledger; Administration; Basic.

Additional AX License Information for Sana Commerce Code Customization

To customize the Sana Commerce code the X++ development license must be applied.

The X++ development license provides full access to all classes in Microsoft Dynamics AX and the development code for the CUS layer. This allows to modify the invoice routine and posting processes for a ledger journal. The development code for the CUS layer allows the customers to place their modified application objects in the CUS and USR layers.

To customize the Sana Commerce code a developer must have access to change classes, forms, tables, macros, menus, jobs, extended data types, maps, menu items and services.
