Configure Monitoring Tools

Sana Commerce offers a monitoring page that can be used to check the health of the running Sana Commerce application. This page, which can be found at 'domain/testapplication.aspx', returns the following information: 
  • When everything is fine, the text 'All OK' is returned.
  • When there is a problem, the output starts with 'Error in test': followed by an error message indicating the problem area.
The monitoring page can be configured in any monitoring tool. A monitoring interval of 5 minutes is considered as commonly used.
 
The monitoring page keeps track of the health of one multi-site within the platform. When the Sana Commerce is running multiple websites, all individual websites can be checked by monitoring the monitoring page on the different domains configured for the different websites. With this solution problems can be narrowed down to individual websites. 
 
When for example the SC solution is running website 1 on domain http://www.website1.com and website 2 on domain http://www.website2.com the monitoring tool should check the following pages:
  • http://www.website1.com/testapplication.aspx
  • http://www.website2.com/testapplication.aspx
