Prerequisites

  • PowerShell 2.0 or 3.0;

  • MS Windows 8, MS Windows Server 2012, MS Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise, MS Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, MS Small Business Server 2008 or later, MS Windows Essential Business Server 2008, Standard or Premium, Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 or later, Standard Edition, Web Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Datacenter Edition, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1.
    Sana Commerce supports both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the operating systems;

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (R2) Express, Workgroup, Standard or Enterprise, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Service Pack 2 or later;

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) 6, 7, 7.5 or 8;

  • MS .NET Framework 4.0 or 4.5 (Note: MS .NET Framework 4.0 is incompatible with Internet Explorer 10. Therefore you should install a hotfix which is available here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600088);

  • Check if ASP.NET 4 or 4.5 is registered with IIS. More detailed information can be found here:

  • Allow ASP.NET 4 or 4.5 to run in IIS on the 'ISAPI and CGI Restrictions' page:

  • Check if SQL Authentication is enabled in SQL Server:

    • Right-click on the SQL Server instance and select 'Properties > Security';
    • Make sure that 'SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode' is selected in the 'Server authentication' section:

  • Make sure that the user who runs the SQL Server service has 'read' permissions for the folder where the installation package is stored.
