Create AX User

Create the AX user who will be used to connect to Microsoft Dynamics AX (this is a user which was earlier created in Active Directory; see 'Create Domain Accounts'):

Step 1: Open Microsoft Dynamics AX client.

Step 2: Go to: System administration -> Common -> Users.

Step 3: Create the AX user. Check the 'Enabled' check box to allow the user access to Microsoft Dynamics AX:

Creating AX User

Make sure that you assigned the SC_AxUser to the correct company. This is a company account that a user can access.

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 enables data isolation by using data partitions.
If you are using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 you should create AX user in the correct partition. When you create a new user select the 'Current partition is default partition' check box to set the partition that you are logged on to as the default partition for the new user.

Step 4: Under the 'User's roles' FastTab assign the appropriate role to the user. It is not necessary to give full access to Microsoft Dynamics AX by assigning the role like 'System administrator'. Each role has a set of permissions determining which menus, forms, reports, and tables a user can access. This means that by creating users and assigning the appropriate role, you establish who can access Microsoft Dynamics AX and which permissions users have.

This role must have a set of permissions which is necessary for the correct work of the Sana Commerce solution, for example 'Sales manager' or 'Sales representative'. You can assign several roles to the user. A user must have enough permissions to manage products catalog (products, item groups, product variants, related products), sales orders and quotations, customers. It should be enough to assign the 'BusinessConnector' role.
