Additional Information

  1. Most of the Consignor carriers request a customer to enter a phone number. If the shipping address doesn't contain the phone number, those shipping methods which use the Consignor as the calculation method will not be available for delivery for the shipping addresses without the phone number. If you are sure that the Consignor carries you are using do not require the phone number of the customers to calculate the shipping cost, you can skip it.

To add the phone number field to the customer's shipping address form, open Sana Admin and click: Setup > Ordering & checkout > Shipping. You can add the phone number field either to the B2C customer shipping address (Consumer shipping address) or B2B customer shipping address (Business shipping address) or both, depending on the scenarios you support. For more information, see "Shipping".

Once you add the phone number field to the customer's shipping address form, then when a customer places an order in the Sana web store and goes through the checkout process, a customer will have to specify the phone number on the Shipping information checkout step.

  2. Product title is used as the content of the Consignor shipping line.

  3. When the shipping cost is calculated by Consignor, the current date and time will be used as pickup and delivery start time. It has no impact on the shipping cost. Shipping rates are calculated based on the product dimensions, weight and unit of measure set in your ERP system.
