Install Sana into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Open the wizard "Install Sana into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central" to see more information.

Create a User

You must create a user in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This user is needed to establish connection between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Sana via the Web service and allow access to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central business logic.

When you create a user, you must set up all required settings that correspond to your environment. Below you can read the description of the settings required for Sana.

Create a user in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Step 1: In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, click on the  icon, enter Users and then choose the related link.

Step 2: In the Users window, click on the New button and in the User Card window create a new user. You can enter any user name.

Step 3: Configure the appropriate Authentication for this user. The authentication type for the user should be the same as the credential authorization mechanism that is configured for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Server instance. For more information, see "Web Services Authentication" and "Authentication and Credential Types for Dynamics 365 Business Central".

Step 4: Assign the following Permission Sets to the user:

  • D365 BUS FULL ACCESS
  • SC - SANA APP

SC - SANA APP is a Sana-specific permission set which gives access to the Sana functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This permission set is available after you install the Sana extension into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

 NOTE

The credentials of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central user must be entered in the ERP connection settings in Sana Admin. Therefore, send the credentials (user name and password) of this user to the person who is responsible for Sana Commerce installation on Web and database server.
