Configure Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server to Use SSL

This step provides information on how to prepare Microsoft Dynamics NAV to use SSL. You need to enable SSL in the configuration file of Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server.

Step 1: Open the 'CustomSettings.config' file in any text editor on the server where Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server is installed.

Step 2: Change the value of the SSL parameter from "false" to "true".

• In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 the parameter is called "WebServiceSSLEnabled".
• In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 and higher the parameter is called "SOAPServicesSSLEnabled".
