Install Sana Add-on in NAV Environment

Configure Sana Web User

To keep the production server secure the Windows user should be created. This is necessary to limit the rights of the users and thus to enhance the production server security.

Sana Commerce Web application user

This domain user account is used to establish the connection between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Sana Commerce and allow access to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV business logic.

From now on, in this installation guide, as an example we will use SC_USER name for this user.

Import the Sana Commerce roles and permissions:

Step 1: In Microsoft Dynamics NAV click: Webshop > Administration > Setup.

Step 2: Under the Navigate tab click Roles and Permissions and select Add Enhanced Roles (CfMD). This will import three Sana Commerce roles with different permissions.

For more information, see 'Sana Commerce Setup'.

Allow SC_USER access to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV database:

Step 1: In Microsoft Dynamics NAV click: AdministrationIT Administration > General > Lists > Users.

Step 2: Create SC_USER.

Step 3: Configure the appropriate authentication for the SC_USER. The authentication type for the SC_USER should be the same as the credential authorization mechanism that is configured for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server instance.

For more information about Microsoft Dynamics NAV users and credential types, see 'Users and Credential Types' and 'How to: Create Microsoft Dyna mics NAV Users' in the MSDN Library.

Step 4: Under the User Permission Sets FastTab select the SC-USER role. This is the Sana Commerce role that you have imported before.
