System Requirements

Hardware Requirements

There is no official minimum for the hardware requirements that are needed for the Sana Commerce add-on. If your SAP Business One server environment meets the recommended hardware requirements, then you should not have any problems with the Sana Commerce add-on.

However, you should also take into account any other software installed on the server. This leads to the extra hardware requirements that should be also taken into account.

The minimum hardware requirements for SAP Business One server:

Component Requirement
Processor Intel® Xeon® (or equivalent)
Memory 4 GB (minimum)
16 ~ 32 GB (recommended)
HDD 40 GB

Software Requirements

SAP Business One server environment must meet software requirements that are listed in the following table:

Software Requirements
Operating system Microsoft® Windows Server 2008 or higher
SAP Business One Server DI Server and Server Tools
Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager IIS 7.5 or higher
.NET Framework .NET Framework 4.5 or higher
TLS 1.2 To secure data communications between Sana and SAP Business One using SSL, the server which hosts the SAP Business One Web service must support TLS 1.2. The SAP Business One Web service must run over HTTPS. TLS 1.2 is available on Windows Server 2008 R2 and higher. It is not available on Windows Server 2008 by default, but you can install an update to add support for TLS 1.2 on Windows Server 2008.

Supported SAP Business One Versions

 NOTE

Sana for SAP Business One 9.3 does not support patch levels 10 and 11 for both, HANA and SQL databases due to a known SAP bug in these patch levels. This bug in the patch levels 10 and 11 for SAP Business One 9.3 causes frequent connection failures between Sana and SAP Business One. For more information, see "DI Server Not Found".

SAP fixed this issue in patch level 12. If you plan to upgrade your SAP Business One system, make sure that you are using the correct patch level.

Sana Commerce provides seamless integration with SAP Business One systems running on SQL Database as well as SAP HANA. It is required that your SAP Business One landscape has the DI-Server installed. By default, we support the following versions of SAP Business One:

SAP Version Patch Level  Localization
9.2  00, 04, 08  AUS, AUT, CAN, CHL, DEU, ESP, FRA, GBR, MEX, NLD, USA
9.3  00, 04, 05, 12  AUS, AUT, CAN, CHE, CHL, DEU, ESP, FRA, GBR, MEX, NLD, USA
10  00, 02  AUS, AUT, CAN, CHE, CHL, DEU, ESP, FRA, GBR, MEX, NLD, USA

To date, we have successfully implemented projects on customer SAP Business One systems running on the Australian, Austrian, Canadian, Swiss, Chilean, German, Spanish, French, United Kingdom, Mexican, Dutch and American localizations. These localizations have been fully tested. While other localizations are expected to be compatible, additional time may be needed to accommodate database specifics such as taxation. No major issues can be expected when supporting a Patch Level within the levels listed above.

A custom quote may be provided to support SAP Business One versions lower than 9.2. However, it is recommended that you are running on the latest compatible SAP Business One version, which is currently 9.3.

System Requirements Checker

System Requirements Checker is a a prerequisites validation utility which is used to determine whether a server where SAP Business One is installed meets the hardware and software requirements described above to install the Sana add-on. It also checks software requirements that are necessary to install the Sana Web service.

This tool can be used by the Sana partners and project teams who install the Sana add-on in the customer's SAP Business One system. Sana partners can download it on the Sana Community website.

You can run this tool on the server before you install the Sana add-on into SAP Business One. You will see the report that shows the results of the prerequisites validation. If your SAP Business One server environment meets all system requirements, then you should not have any problems with installing the Sana add-on.
