Configure Website

All website settings are kept on the 'Site configuration' page which can be found in the 'Site management' module. At first you should choose the website by clicking on the  button near the name of the site. 
In the 'Site configuration' you can change the settings for this website:

There are three types of business scenarios supported by Sana Commerce: B2B (Business-to-Business), B2C (Business-to-Consumer) or B2X (combines both B2B and B2C scenarios). The list of settings on the 'Site configuration' page depends on a scenario that is specified for a website in the 'web.config' file.
Settings specific for each provider are listed in the  'Provider settings' section.
 
Here is the table with all the website settings and their availability for each type of the business scenario: 
 
Option Scenario Description
Variants display mode B2B, B2C, B2X This option changes the display of variants from the matrix table to dropdown list on the 'Product Details' page.
Add to basket B2B, B2C, B2X Using this option you can specify the action which is performed when a customer adds a product to the shopping basket: will he stay on the current page or will he be redirected to the shopping basket.
Action prices B2B, B2C, B2X This check box enables action prices.

Checkout offers B2B, B2C, B2X This field allows to enable the 'Basket checkout offers' functionality. The option is enabled as soon as at least one correct product code is entered in the field.  Product variant codes are not supported. Only product item codes should be entered.

Progress indicator B2B, B2C, B2X This check box enables the display of the progress bar indicator pop-up window.
Wish list B2B, B2C, B2X   This option allows you to enable the wish list for a customer. Please note that this functionality is not available for a sales representative.

Tell a friend B2B, B2C, B2X   This option allows you to enable the 'tell a friend' functionality for a customer.

Last viewed products B2B, B2C, B2X   This option allows you to enable the display of last viewed products for a customer.

Ratings and reviews B2B, B2C, B2X   This option allows you to enable the display of ratings and reviews for a customer.

Shipping address settings B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the possibility to enter the shipping address manually during the checkout process. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (customer, sales representatives or both of them) this option should be available. Please note that this option is only visible for B2B customers and sales representatives.  For B2C customers the shipping address is always entered manually.
Reference number B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the display of the 'Refference no.' field on the 'Order overview' page. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (Customer, Sales Agent or both of them) this field should be visible. Please note that the 'Reference number' option is only available for B2B user roles. For B2C user roles this field will not be visible in the frontend.
Comment B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the display of the 'Comment' field on the 'Order overview' page. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (Customer, Sales Agent or both of them) this field should be visible. Please note that the 'Comment' option is only available for B2B user roles. For B2C user roles this field will not be visible in the frontend.
Quick order B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the display of the 'Quick order' button on the 'Shopping Basket' page. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (Customer, Sales Agent or both of them) this button should be visible. Please note that the 'Quick order' option is only available for B2B user roles. For B2C user roles this field will not be visible in the frontend.
Edit order B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the 'Edit order' option. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (customer, sales representative or both of them) this option should be available. Please note that the 'Edit order' option is only visible for B2B user roles. For B2C user roles this option is not visible in the frontend.
Important! To use the 'Edit Order' functionality you have to set the 'Product Availability' option to 'Always available'.

Create prospect B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the 'Create prospect' option. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (customer, sales representative or both of them) this option should be available. Please note that the 'Create prospect' option is only visible for B2B user roles. For B2C user roles this option is not visible in the frontend.

Requested delivery date B2B, B2X This dropdown list allows you to enable or disable the display of the 'Requested delivery date' field on the 'Order Overview' page. It also allows you to specify for which type of the user role (Customer, Sales Agent or both of them) this buton should be visible. Please note that the 'Requested delivery date' option is only available for B2B user roles. For B2C user roles this field will not be visible in the frontend.
Newsletter B2B, B2C, B2X This option allows you to enable or disable the visibility of the 'Newsletter' container on the website.
Subtotal in basket miniature B2B, B2C, B2X When this check box is selected the subtotal of the order amount will be shown in basket miniature. Be aware that enabling of this option can cause performance problems, for example in Sana Commerce - NAV Connector.
Google Analytics tracking code B2B, B2C, B2X This field is used for storing the Google Analytics tracking code which is received after registration. If you want to know how to work with multicurrency in Google Analytics please follow this link.
Product availability B2B, B2C, B2X When the 'Depending on stock' option is selected the availability of a product in the store is checked each time it is added to the shopping basket. Be aware that enabling of this option can cause performance problems, for example in Sana Commerce - NAV Connector. Note: This option should be set to 'Always available' when the 'Edit order' option is going to be used.
Theme B2B, B2C, B2X Using this dropdown list you can specify the theme which will be applied to the website. In case no selection is made default 'Sana Commerce' theme will be used.
'From' e-mail address B2B, B2C, B2X This text field is used to specify the 'From' e-mail address for all system e-mails; this e-mail address is also used as the value for the 'SHOPEMAIL' variable in the 'Order confirmation' e-mail template.
Recipient e-mail address(es) B2B, B2C, B2X This text field is used to specify the e-mail address(es) on which the messages from the 'Contact us' page will be sent.
Order type B2B, B2X This option specifies the order type - is it a regular order or a quote. This setting is specific to Sana Commerce -  NAV Connector.
Use custom navigation B2B, B2C, B2X This option enables the custom navigation for Sana Commerce - SQL Provider.

'Inventory level settings' section allows you to specify stock ranges for each category on the website. You can specify the maximum number of items per category that will represent you stock as being 'Out of stock', 'Low stock' or 'In stock'. Sub categories will inherit stock ranges from their parent categories. For example take a look on the screenshot below:

'Product attribute settings' section allows to add product attributes to the product details and product list pages by adding them to the grid below. When adding new product attributes be aware that you must create Sana texts for the attribute labels first.
