Configure the Prospect Functionality in NAV

In order to make the 'Prospect order' module work correctly, a 'Customer Template' has to be selected for at least one country in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In this case, it will be available in the 'Country' dropdown on the 'Create Prospect' and 'Billing/Shipping' pages.
 
To set a 'Customer Template':

Step 1: Open the NAV client.

Step 2: Select 'Administration -> Application Setup -> General -> Countries/Regions'.

Step 3: Select a 'Customer Template Code' for each country that has to be available for a Prospect.

Step 4: Close the window to save your changes:

 
Selecting a Customer Template

If no customer template is available, you can create one yourself. To do this, you should take the following steps:    

Step 1: Open the NAV client.

Step 2: Select 'Sales & Marketing > Sales > Setup > Customer Templates'.

Step 3: To create a new customer template the following fields are required to be filled: 

  • Code;
  • Customer Posting Group;
  • Gen. Bus. Posting Group;
  • VAT Bus. Posting Group.
Other fields are optional.

Step 4: After the fields are filled in, close the table to save your changes:
