Install Sana Add-on in AX Environment

Open 'Install Sana Commerce on AX Environment' wizard, choose you AX version and service to see more information.

Create AX User

In Microsoft Dynamics AX create a user with the necessary permissions that is used to access AX and establish connection between Sana and AX. The domain account for this user was already created in the "Create Domain Accounts" step. This user will be set in Sana Admin ERP connection parameters.

Step 1: Open Microsoft Dynamics AX client.

Step 2: Go to: Administration > Setup > User groups.

Step 3: Create a user group. You can enter any name of the user group, for example "SANA". You can also use any existing user group, but it must have the necessary permissions.

Step 4: Set up the user group permissions. The following permissions must be assigned to the user group:

  • Accounts receivable > Miscellaneous
  • Basic
  • Business Connector
  • Inventory management
  • Sana Commerce daily
  • Sana Commerce tables

If you want to use automatic prepayments posting, you must also allow to view the following tables:

  • Bank > Tables > Bank accounts
  • General ledger > Tables > Ledger transactions

Step 5: Go to: Administration > Common Forms > Users.

Step 6: Create AX user.

Step 7: Make sure that you assigned the AX user to the correct company. This is a company account that a user can access.

Step 8: Under the Groups tab assign the Sales representative group to the user and the one created for Sana, for example the SANA group.

Step 9: When the user is created, select the Enabled checkbox to allow the user access Microsoft Dynamics AX.
