Introduction

 NOTE

The Amazon Pay payment provider is available as an add-on. It can be installed from Sana Apps. In Sana Admin click: Apps > Add-ons.

It might happen that you don't have permissions to install Sana Apps, for example if you have a customized project or it was disabled by a web store administrator intentionally. In this case, you need to contact your Sana partner or project manager.

There are two add-ons in Sana Apps: Amazon Pay which is available to those who are selling in the USA, in USD and Amazon Pay Europe which is available to those who are selling in Europe, in EUR and GBP currencies. Use the suitable add-on depending on the region you are doing your business in. Take into consideration that there might be slight discrepancies in the configuration of the Amazon Pay and Amazon Pay Europe add-ons. Also, there might be differences in the registration of the Amazon Pay account, since the data needed to create a new account is specific for each region.

Amazon Pay is a trusted way for your customers to make purchases on your online store by using payment information stored in their Amazon accounts.

Amazon Pay is fast, easy and secure, and can help you add new customers, increase sales, and reduce fraud costs.

Amazon Pay is bringing together Amazon's world-class commerce and personalization technologies, loyal customer base and unique positioning within the e-commerce value chain to enable retailers and solution providers to offer unique commerce and purchasing experiences that greatly benefit buyers and merchants globally.

Amazon Pay allows customers to pay their orders through the Amazon Pay payment system directly in a web store, without redirecting a customer to the Amazon Pay payment page.

 NOTE

Sana supports the following payment methods for Amazon Pay payment provider: American Express, Discover, JCB, Mastercard and Visa.

How to pay the order through Amazon Pay?

When a customer creates an order and pays it through Amazon Pay, the additional checkout step, called Amazon card selection will be shown in the Sana web store. A customer must sign in using his or her Amazon account.

Once signed in, the customer will automatically see his or her credit/debit cards available in the Amazon account. Then, the customer can select the necessary credit / debit card and pay the order.

When a customer signs in with the Amazon account, his or her login session will be active only during checkout. If a customer signs in with the Amazon account to pay the order, but then clicks back or goes to some previous checkout step, or to another page, the Amazon login session will expire and the customer will need to sign in with the Amazon account again in order to see his or her credit / debit cards. Creating a new order also requires to sign in with the Amazon account each time. This is done for security reasons.
