Introduction

 NOTE

The FedEx shipping provider is available as an add-on. It can be installed from Sana Apps. In Sana Admin click: Apps > Add-ons.

It might happen that you don't have permissions to install Sana Apps, for example if you have a customized project or it was disabled by a web store administrator intentionally. In this case, you need to contact your Sana partner or project manager.

FedEx is one of the world's largest shipping service companies and the industry's global leader, providing rapid, reliable, time-definite delivery to more than 220 countries and territories.

With FedEx shipping services different shipping rates are available that allow customers to choose the shipping method they want and check delivery status of their package using the tracking number.

Shipping provider with FedEx shipping services real-time integration allows to calculate the shipping costs by FedEx in real-time depending on the selected FedEx shipping method, customer's shipping address, actual weight and dimensions of the package.

The customers will be able to check delivery status of their package any time in the webstore using the tracking number on the order details for the posted shipments and return receipts.

This document provides a step-by-step guide for FedEx add-on installation and configuration of the FedEx shipping provider and methods in Sana Admin.

 NOTE

Limitations:

1. Sana does not support FedEx Freight Services. The supported package weight is up to 150 lbs (68 kg).
2. FedEx uses their own currency codes for certain countries which differ from the ISO currency codes. This might cause issues for these countries as FedEx uses the currency codes which are not internationally recognized. For examples, FedEx uses the "UKL" currency code for the United Kingdom, but the ISO currency code is "GBP". The list of currency codes used by FedEx is available in the FedEx Developer Guide. You can open it only if you have a FedEx account.
