Set Up Transsmart in Sana

Step 1: In Sana Admin click: Apps > Add-ons. Find the Transsmart add-on and install it, if it is not installed yet. When the Transsmart add-on is installed, you can configure it from any tab on the Add-ons page by clicking on the Configure button  .

Step 2: Configure the Transsmart add-on by entering the shipping provider specific settings.

The table below provides the description of the Transsmart shipping provider settings.

Fields Description
Base URL Enter the Transsmart API URL: https://accept-api.transsmart.com
User name Enter the credentials of the Transsmart API user.
Password
Account Enter the account name. This is the name you received from Transsmart when you requested an account.
Dimensions unit Select the necessary unit of measurement for the length, width and height of a package. The physical dimensions of a package are needed for Transsmart to calculate the shipping costs.

The following values are available: CM (Centimeter), IN (Inch), FT (Feet).
Weight unit Select the necessary unit of measurement for the package weight. The weight of a package is needed for Transsmart to calculate the shipping costs.

The following values are available: KG (Kilogram), LB (Pound), OZ (Ounce).
Use fallback dimensions The physical dimensions and weight of products are set in the ERP system.

If the physical dimensions and weight of a product are not set in the ERP system and this option is enabled, then the values set in the Static weight, Static width, Static length and Static height fields will be used instead.

If the physical dimensions and weight of a product are not set in the ERP system and this option is disabled, then this shipping method will not be shown on the Delivery method checkout step in the Sana web store.
Use custom shipping origin Configure the web store shipping origin:
  • If the option Use custom shipping origin is disabled, then the shipping origin will be retrieved form the ERP system. For the shipping cost calculation, the address of the warehouse that you ship from when delivering goods to the customer will be used. In case of anonymous web store visitor, the warehouse address of the template customer will be used.
  • If the option Use custom shipping origin is enabled, then the shop administrator should manually enter the web store shipping origin address. All shipping costs will be calculated based on this address.
Package type configurations Enter the package details. This information is used by Transsmart to calculate the shipping costs. The package weight and physical dimensions are sent to Transsmart with the units of measurement set in the Weight unit and Dimensions unit fields.

Transsmart Package Type
Enter the type of a package, for example BOX, PARCEL, PALLET, etc. You must enter the same package types as in the MyTranssmart dashboard. To check packages configuration in the MyTranssmart dashboard, click: Manage Account > Packages.

Maximum Package Count
Enter the maximum number of packages which should be used to pack products from one order.

Max Weight
Enter the maximum weight of a package.

Width, Length and Height
Enter the physical dimensions of a package.

Once the Transsmart is configured, you can create the Transsmart shipping methods.
