Customer's Language Preference

The language preference of a customer and contact is retrieved from a customer and contact cards. Sales representatives do not have their own language; their language is the one which is selected in the language dropdown in the webshop.
 
The language preference of a customer is retrieved from the customer card. Open a customer card and under the 'Foreign Trade' tab in the 'Language Code' field you can set a default language for this customer:

The language preference of a contact is primary retrieved from the contact card. If it is not set the language preference will be retrieved from the related customer card. Open a contact card and under the 'Communication' tab in the 'Language Code' field you can set the preferred language:

Remember that a customer always can overwrite the default language or own language preference in the webshop by selecting a different language in the language dropdown.
