Units of Measure

Use the 'Units of Measure' window in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to manage the list of the available units of measure.

The units of measure from this window will be available for configuration of the minimum allowed quantities per unit of measure in the Sana Commerce backoffice.

To open the 'Units of Measure' window open the 'Purchase' department and then click on Inventory & Costing -> Administration -> Setup -> Units of Measure:

To add a new unite of measure enter a code and description (name) for the unit of measure. Units of measure from this list can be used with different items in your products catalog.

Translations can be created for units of measure. To add a translation, select the unit of measure and at the top click on Related Information -> Unit -> Translations.

Item Units of Measure

Use the 'Item Units of Measure' window to set the units of measure per individual item.

Open an item for which the units of measure should be set and at the top of the item card click on Related Information -> Item -> Units of Measure:

In the 'Code' field you can select the unit of measure codes that have been already set up in the 'Units of Measure' window.

In the 'Length', 'Height', 'Width' and 'Weight' fields you can enter precise information about the item units of measure.

Then on the item card, under the 'Invoicing' fast tab, in the 'Sales Unit of Measure' field select the unit of measure that should be used for an item. The selected in this field unit of measure will be shown in the webshop for the related item.
