Order Tracking



You can add more value to the shipping methods functionality. Give your customers the benefit of tracking their orders at real time directly from the Sana web store.

A customer just need to click on the tracking number on the posted shipment details page in the web store to check delivery status of their package directly on the delivery service website.

 

To allow your customers track their orders, you need to enter tracking URL of a delivery service in SAP and a tracking number for an outbound delivery.

In SAP, in the address data of a vendor, click Other communications and select the communication method URI.

In the Maintain FTP / URL addresses window enter the URL of a delivery service.

Example of the URL for the FedEx delivery service:

https://www.fedex.com/apps/fedextrack/?action=track&trackingnumber={ID}

{ID} is a replacement tag for the order tracking number. It is automatically replaced with a tracking number entered in the outbound delivery.

If you use multiple delivery services, the appropriate URL should be entered for each vendor.

The tracking number can be entered in the header details of the outbound delivery, on the Shipment tab, in the Bill of lading field.

To allow customers track their orders, vendors from SAP should be assigned to the related shipping methods in Sana Admin.
