Item Variants Management

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV use the 'Item Variants' table to specify variants of an item:

Step 1: Go to the 'Sales & Marketing' department -> Inventory & Pricing -> Lists -> Items.

Step 2: Open the item for which the variants should be created.

Step 3: At the top click on 'Related information -> Item -> Variants'.

Use the 'Item Variants' table to create variants of an item, which for example vary in color:

This way you can set up one item with different variants instead of setting up each variant as a separate item.

The item variants can be made visible/ invisible in the webshop just like a regular item.

In the webshop the item variants are shown on the product details page. Item variants can be presented either in the matrix or dropdown display mode depending on the selected value in the Sana Commerce backoffice catalog settings.
