Sana Startup Wizard

When the Sana add-on is installed inside Microsoft Dynamics GP, you must perform the initial setup of the Sana add-on, to establish connection between Sana and Microsoft Dynamics GP, and to start using the data and business logic of your GP system.

Sana Commerce provides a setup wizard in Microsoft Dynamics GP which will guide you through the main settings that are necessary to configure for the correct functioning of the Sana webshop.

To open the wizard in Microsoft Dynamics GP, click: Sana Commerce > CardsSana Startup Wizard.

All settings that are present in the Sana Commerce Startup Wizard can be also configured separately in Microsoft Dynamics GP. You can use the Sana Commerce Startup Wizard to perform the initial Sana setup right after the Sana add-on is installed in Microsoft Dynamics GP. You will be able to reconfigure any settings separately in Microsoft Dynamics GP later on, if there is a necessity.

Step Description
Webshop Setup Create a Sana webshop. Webshop ID should be the same as in the Sana Store SQL database. Template customer is used for items indexing, online customer registration and to show prices and inventory to the webshop visitors who are not logged in as a customer. Specify the default payment type, currency (if Multicurrency Management is disabled in your system) and the sales batch entry for the Sana webshop.

For more information, see 'Sana Webshop Maintenance'.
Sales Type IDs Sana Commerce uses the default Microsoft Dynamics GP functionality (Sales Type IDs) to generate unique identifiers for sales orders and quotes placed from the Sana webshop. Set up sales type IDs which will be used to generate unique identifiers for the standard orders and quotes placed from the Sana webshop.

For more information, see 'Numbering'.
Customer and Address IDs On this step you can set up identifiers which will be used for customers and prospects created from the Sana webshop, and for customer addresses.
Inventory Set up the default site ID and inventory calculation method for the Sana webshop. These settings are used to define from which site the goods should be delivered to the customers and how inventory should be calculated.

For more information, see 'Inventory'.
Catalog Filter On this step you can configure catalog filter for the Sana webshop. It is used to filter the catalog and to show only some groups of products from Microsoft Dynamics GP in the Sana webshop, based on the configured filter criteria.

For more information, see 'Catalog Filter'.
Countries  Select the 'Visible in Webshop' checkbox for all countries which should be available in the Sana webshop. They are used for online customer registration, shipping address and prospects. To register a new customer and create a prospect, all countries which are set as visible in webshop should have a template customer.

For more information, see 'Countries'.
Items Visibility Make all items visible in the Sana webshop. All items are validated by the default rules of orderability. Those items which satisfy the orderability criteria are automatically set as visible in the Sana webshop.

For more information, see 'Items'.
Data Validation Rules Generate the default data validation rules for the correct functioning of the Sana webshop. Data validation rules affect data retrieving. Only data which satisfies the selected criteria can be processed.

For more information, see 'Data Validation Rules'.
