Units of Measurement

Sana Commerce supports units of measurement which can be configured for the product catalog of the webshop.

The units of measurement can be managed in the Sana Commerce backoffice catalog settings:


Units of Measurement

The table below provides information about available settings in the 'Units of measurement' section:

Setting Description
Unit of measure Use the 'Show unit of measure' option to enable/disable units of measure presentation in the webshop. If this option is enabled, then for each product the related unit of measure (set in the ERP system) will be shown. The unit of measure per product is available on the product list and product details pages, on the quick order page, in the basket and on the order details page.
Minimum quantities Use the 'Minimum quantities' table to configure the minimum orderable quantity per unit of measure. Units of measure which are not listed in the table will have a minimum quantity of 1.

In case of NAV/ AX Connector the list of units of measure is retrieved from the ERP system.

In case of SQL Provider the list of units of measure is retrieved from the database, the 'UnitsOfMeasure' table.

The configured minimum quantities per unit of measure will be used in the 'Quantity' box in the webshop:
Weight and dimensions units Use the 'Weight and dimensions units' settings to select the units of measurement (units of mass and length) for products. The selected units of measurement are used for shipping rate calculation:
  • Weight is used in 'Shipping rate by country and order weight' and 'FedEx shipping rate'.
  • Dimensions are used in 'FedEx shipping rate'.
