Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Item Categories and Product Groups

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV products can be classified using item categories and product groups. Item categories and product groups together with the assigned products can be imported from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Sana to automatically build the main menu of the Sana webshop and catalog.

Item categories



To manage item categories in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, click: Departments > Financial Management > Inventory > Setup > Item Categories.

Use the Visible in Webshop checkbox to make item category visible or invisible in the Sana webshop. If you make the item category invisible, items assigned to the item category will be still visible. Only the item category becomes invisible in the webshop.

Click Translations at the top of the Item Categories table if you need to translate the item category name into different languages.

Product groups



To manage product groups in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, click: Departments > Purchase > Inventory & Costing > Administration > Setup > Product Groups.

Use the Visible in Webshop checkbox to make product groups visible or invisible in the webshop.

Click Translations at the top of the Product Groups table if you need to translate product group name into different languages.
