Mix & Match Discounts

 NOTE

Applies to: Sana 9.3.3 and higher

The mix & match discount gives customers a discount when they purchase a specific combination of items. For example, if a customer buys pants, a shirt and shoes, he will receive a 15% discount on each item or it can be a different discount % for each item. The discount description is shown on all product details pages of those products that are included in the mix & match offer to inform customers about the deal and attract their attention.

Set Up a Mix & Match Discount

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV click: Webshop > Webshop Discounts > Mix & Match.

 NOTE

Starting from Sana 9.3.4 you can apply several mix & match discounts to a shopping cart. If a customer adds products to the shopping cart which meet the criteria of multiple mix & match discounts, all of them will be applied. In Sana 9.3.3 it is possible to apply only one mix & match discount to a shopping cart.

In Sana 9.3.3 you can only set up a discount % at the header level which is applied to all items separately. Starting from Sana 9.3.4, you can also set up a different discount % for each item.

Starting from Sana 9.3.5, it is possible to set up a mix & match discount for items assigned to item categories and product groups.

The table below provides the description of the fields necessary to set up the mix & match discount.

Field Description
General
Webshop Id Select a webshop. If you have multiple webshops, you can set up mix & match discounts for each webshop separately.
Description  Enter the description of a discount.

If a discount is valid for products, a discount description will be shown on the product details pages and in the shopping cart in the Sana webshop. Using the In-site editor you can change the mix & match discount description retrieved from NAV and create a nice description per each available language in the Sana webshop.

Below see the examples of the mix & match discount shown on the product details page and in the shopping cart.

Customer Disc. Group  Select a customer discount group or leave it empty. You can create a mix & match discount for all customers or for a specific customer discount group. If you leave the field Customer Disc. Group empty, the mix & match discount can be used by any customer.

To assign a customer to the customer discount group, open the Customer Card and on the Invoicing FastTab select the Customer Disc. Group.

Limitations

  1. The mix & match discounts are not supported for the order processing strategy that is optimized for large orders. For more information, see "Order Processing".
  2. There is the LS Retail add-on for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which offers various discounts and it is also supported by Sana. If you use LS Retail, then the Sana mix and match discounts will not work as the LS Retail discounts have higher priority.
  3. Do not set up sales line discounts and mix & match discounts for the same products. The sales line discount has higher priority than the mix & match discount. Thus, if both discounts are set up for the same products, only the sales line discount will be calculated for these products and shown in the Sana webshop.

Take into consideration that if both discounts are set up for the same products, the sales line discount will be calculated for the products, but the description of the mix & match discount will be still shown on the product details pages, which can be confusing for a user. Thus, if you do not use the mix & match discount, you should disable it.

Disable Mix & Match Discounts

If you do not want to use the mix & match discounts in the Sana webshop, you must disable them.

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV click: Webshop > Lists > Webshops. Open the necessary webshop and on the Optimization FastTab, select the Disable Sana Discounts checkbox.
