Item Prices

Sana being the ERP integrated e-commerce solution uses pricing logic of SAP Business One. This means that all prices are managed and calculated real-time in SAP Business One.

In SAP Business One you can set up:

  • Unit price - is the base price of an item.
  • Sales price - is the discounted price of an item. You can set up sales price using discount groups or special prices.

For more information, see "Discounts and Volume Prices" and "Discount Groups".

Set up decimal places

In the Sana web store, item prices can be shown with 2 decimal places. Many payment service providers support prices with a maximum of 2 decimal places.

In SAP Business One click: Administration > System Initialization > General Settings. On the Display tab, enter 2 as the number of decimal places for prices.

Set up item unit price

In SAP Business One use Item Master Data to set up the price of an item.

In the General area of the Item Master Data, in the Unit Price field, enter the price of an item, this is the base price.

In SAP Business One you can also create different price lists. SAP Business One uses price lists as the basis for pricing in the sales process.

Price lists contain the pricing for items. Price lists can be assigned to items and business partners. Price list assigned to items is the base price list. The price list assigned to business partner overrides the prices of the item price list.

To set up price lists in SAP Business One click: Inventory > Price Lists > Price Lists.

Presentation of prices and discounts in the Sana web store

Sana is very flexible when it comes to presentation of prices and discounts in the web store. You are free to show those prices and discounts that you want.

The combination of price settings in Sana Admin and in SAP Business One defines how prices and discounts will be shown in the Sana web store.

 NOTE

Sana does not have any influence on how prices are calculated. The default SAP Business One logic is used. In Sana you can only control which prices and discounts you want to show to your customers in the web store.

Set up the default item price in SAP Business One

 NOTE

Applies to: Sana 9.3.1 and higher

In SAP Business One click: Web Store > Web Stores.

Using the Default Price field on the Pricing tab, you can choose which price, unit or sales, should be used as the default item price. It depends on your pricing setup in SAP Business One.

Below you can see different scenarios and combinations of price settings, and how prices are presented in the Sana web store.

Set up price presentation in Sana Admin

In Sana Admin click: Setup > Products > Price. In the Price presentation field, select which item prices and discounts from SAP Business One you want to show on the product pages in the Sana web store.

  • You can choose which item prices must be shown on the product pages. You can show both, unit prices and sales prices, or only sales prices.
  • You can even show discount amount or discount percentage together with the item price.

Sales price is always shown in the web store as the actual price of an item, since it has higher priority than the unit price. For example, if an item has both, sales and unit price, and you select unit price as the Default Price in the Web Stores window, the sales price will be the actual price of an item anyway.
