Mix and Match Discounts

 NOTE

Applies to: Sana 9.3.5 and higher

The mix and match discount gives customers a discount when they purchase a specific combination of items. For example, if a customer buys a laptop he or she will receive a 50% discount on the laptop case. You can set up the same discount % for all items in the mix and match offer or it can be a different discount % for each item. The discount description is shown on all product details pages of those products that are included in the mix and match offer to inform customers about the deal and attract their attention.

Enable Mix and Match Discounts

To calculate mix and match discounts in your Sana web store, you must enable them.

In SAP Business One click: Web Store > Web Stores. In the Web Store field select the necessary web store and on the Pricing tab select the checkbox Enable Mix & Match Discounts.

Set Up a Mix and Match Discount

Step 1: In SAP Business One click: Web Store > Mix and Match Discounts.

Step 2: In the Web Store field select the web store for which you want to create a mix and match discount. If you have several web stores, you can create different mix and match discounts for each web store.

On the left you can see the list of all created mix and match discounts, if there are any.

Step 3: Click Add New to create a mix and match discount.

Step 4: Fill in the fields listed in the table below to create a mix and match discount.

Field Description
General Fields
Discount Code  This is the automatically generated mix and match discount number.
Description  Enter the description of a mix and match discount.

If a discount is valid for items, a discount description will be shown on the product details pages and in the shopping cart in the Sana web store. Using the In-site editor you can change the mix and match discount description retrieved from SAP Business One and create a nice description per each available language in the Sana web store.

The discount description is shown on all product details pages of those products that are included in the mix and match offer to inform customers about the deal and attract their attention.

Below you can see the examples of the mix and match discount shown on the product details page and in the shopping cart.

Customer Group  Select a customer group or leave it empty. You can create a mix and match discount for all customers or for a specific customer group. If you leave the field Customer Group empty, the mix and match discount can be used by any customer.
Active  Select this checkbox to activate the mix and match discount.
From Use the date fields From and To, if you want the mix and match discount to be active for a certain period.

Both fields are optional, so you can specify either From date or To date, or leave them empty.

To
Mix and Match Discount Lines
Items Code  Select the item which you want to add to the mix and match discount.
UoM Code  Select the item unit of measure for which the mix and match discount must be valid.
Quantity Specify the quantity of the item that a customer must purchase to qualify for a discount.

Mix and Match Discounts Priority

On the left you can see the list of all created mix and match discounts and change their priority by moving up and down in the list.

Several mix and match discounts can be calculated in the shopping cart. If a customer adds products to the shopping cart which meet the criteria of multiple mix and match discounts, all of them will be applied. But in some cases, the mix and match discount is applied based on priority. See the example in the table below.

Mix and Match Discount Products Shopping Cart
Discount 1 Product A - Quantity 5
Product B - Quantity 3
Product A - Quantity 5
Product B - Quantity 3
Product C - Quantity 2
Discount 2 Product A - Quantity 5
Product C - Quantity 2

In the table above, you can see that both mix and match discounts have Product A. If a customer adds Product A, Product B and Product C to the shopping cart with the quantity set in the mix and match discounts, Discount 1 will be applied as it has higher priority. The mix and match discount 2 will not be calculated for Product C. But if a customer adds 10 units of Product A (Discount 1 + Discount 2) to the shopping cart, the discount will be also calculated for Product C.

Delete a Mix and Match Discount

You can remove a mix and match discount if you right-click on it. The context menu will pop up where you can choose to remove the selected mix and match discount.

Just in the same way you can remove any mix and match discount line.

Limitations

The standard discounts logic of SAP Business One, such as volume discounts and business partner specific discounts, has higher priority than Sana's mix and match discounts. Therefore, do not set up volume discounts, business partner specific discounts and mix and match discounts for the same items. If both are set for the same items, the standard SAP Business One discount will be applied.
