Shipping Address Mapping

When a customer creates an order in a Sana web store, he or she can enter a different shipping address manually.

In Sana Admin you can set up which fields of the shipping address must be filled in by a customer. You can do this here: Setup > Ordering & checkout > Shipping.

When the order is saved to SAP Business One, the entered shipping address will be added to the business partner master data.

There is a limitation that only a few basic fields of the shipping address are saved to the business partner master data in SAP Business One:

  • Address
  • Address 2
  • Country
  • State
  • City
  • Zip Code

Other fields added to the shipping address are not saved to the business partner in SAP Business One. This leads to a loss of some shipping address information. For example, if you add the field Street instead of the field Address to the shipping address form, it will not be saved to the business partner master data in SAP Business One.

Because of this, the ship-to address in the order details in the web store and in the order confirmation e-mail might be also shown not the way you need.

Set up shipping address mapping

In SAP Business One click: Web Store > Setup > Services > Configure MappingShipping Address Mapping.

Use this window to map the basic fields of the shipping address that are sent from Sana to the required fields in SAP Business One. You can see the default field mapping at the screenshot above.

For example, when a customer enters his or her Address in the shipping address form, it will be saved to the Street / PO Box field of the business partner ship-to address, and Address 2 will be saved to the field Block.
