Edit Order

Business customers and sales agents can edit sales orders or quotations directly from the Sana web store. Only those orders which were paid on account and are not processed yet in SAP can be edited in the web store. Only those quotations which are not processed yet in SAP and are not converted into sales orders can be edited in the web store.

When a customer edits the existing order or quotation in a Sana web store and then places it, the order or quotation confirmation e-mail will be sent to a customer with the latest order or quotation details.

The Edit Order Confirmation e-mail template is used to send the order confirmation e-mail to a customer. The Edit Quote Confirmation e-mail template is used to send the quotation confirmation e-mail to a customer. For more information, see "E-mails".

 NOTE

A confirmation e-mail with the latest quotation details is sent to a customer after a customer edits a quotation in a Sana web store starting from Sana 9.3.2.

To allow business customers edit sales orders and quotations, in Sana Admin click: Setup > Ordering & checkout > Ordering. On the Ordering page you can enable the option Edit order for B2B customers and sales agents. For more information, see "Ordering & Checkout".

Business customers and sales agents can edit the order or quotation from the order details or quote details page in the web store. While editing the order or quotation it is possible to change the quantity of a product in the shopping cart, delete products or add new products. When you edit the order or quotation the ordering process is the same as if you place a regular order or quotation:

  • By default the selected shipping address on the Shipping information step remains the same as in the original order or quotation, but you can choose a different address.
  • The information from the Reference no. and Comments fields on the Order overview page is also pre-filled with the data taken from the original order or quotation, but it can be changed.
  • The placed order or quotation will overwrite the original one, but its number will remain the same.

It is possible to edit the sales order or quotation only if its status is Open in SAP.
