Startup Wizard

When the Sana add-on is installed inside SAP, you should perform the initial setup of the Sana webstore. For this purpose, Sana provides the Startup Wizard.

You can access the Startup Wizard from the main window of the Sana add-on in SAP ECC (/n/sanaecom/webstore) or by calling the transaction /n/sanaecom/start.

Sana Commerce Startup Wizard is the easiest way to set up the Sana webstore right after the Sana add-on is installed inside SAP. It will guide you through the main settings that are necessary to configure for the correct functioning of the Sana webstore, to establish connection between Sana and SAP, and to start using the data and business logic of your SAP system.

Most of the settings that are present in the Startup Wizard can be also configured separately in the Webstore Configuration window (/n/sanaecom/admin). You can use the Startup Wizard to perform the initial Sana setup right after the Sana add-on is installed inside SAP. It includes the most important settings of the Sana add-on. You will be able to reconfigure any settings separately in SAP later on, if there is a necessity (/n/sanaecom/webstore).

If you already went through all the steps of the Startup Wizard and completely set up your webstore, you cannot use the Startup Wizard once again to change the settings for this webstore. You should use the Webstore Configuration window (/n/sanaecom/admin) for this purpose. In case you have not completed setting up the webstore using the Startup Wizard, you can go back later to the Startup Wizard and finish it.

After you have finished setting up your webstore you can create a transport request on the Transport Organizer step to move your webstore settings from the current SAP environment to another environment, if there is a necessity.

Set Up Default Values for Webstore Settings

 NOTE

Applies to: Sana 9.3.5 and higher

You can set up default values for the webstore settings in the Sana Startup Wizard. It can be useful in case you need to create several webstores and all of them have some common settings, and you do not want to set up these settings for each webstore separately.

Thus, if the default values are set up for the necessary settings, a webstore administrator can just skip these settings when he or she creates a webstore using the Sana Startup Wizard. When a webstore is created, the necessary fields will be filled in with their default values.

Call the transaction code SM30 (Maintain Table View). Then, in the Table/View field enter /sanaecom/defalt and click Maintain.

Add the necessary Sana tables and fields to the Default Values for web store table and set the default values for them. These default values will be used for the settings in the Sana Startup Wizard when you create a new webstore. You can set up the default values only for those settings which are optional in the Sana Startup Wizard. You cannot set default values for the required settings.

For example, if you set up the default value KG for Weight Unit and CM for Dimension Unit in the Default Values for web store table, then when you create a webstore using the Sana Startup Wizard, you can leave the fields Weight Unit and Dimension Unit empty. A webstore will be created with the default values KG and CM.

If you create a webstore using the Sana Startup Wizard and you set different values for the settings which have default values, then the default values will be overridden, and a webstore will be created with the values you entered.

In case the default values are not set, and you create a new webstore using the Sana Startup Wizard skipping some settings, a new webstore will be created without these settings.
